Today we discussed symbols and how ideas, feelings, and information can be represented by physical objects or pictures. In our Jamboard we described a set of symbols that we commonly use everyday and what their true meanings were. We also picked a symbol of our own and described its true meaning. Symbolism – is when a picture, object, color, etc. is used to represent another idea. Authors rely on the meaning of symbols to help communicate their message to readers.
