Chang Learning Inc. (“Chang Learning,” “us,” “our”, or “we”) take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy (the “Privacy Policy) governs the manner in which Chang Learning collects, uses, maintains, and discloses information collected from users (each, a “User”) of its website (the “Site”). This Policy does not apply to information that we collect in other ways, such as over the phone, by mail, or in person, except where we specifically state otherwise or as required by applicable law.


The Information Chang Learning Collects and Receives

Chang Learning collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. Non-personally identifying information helps us better understand how our visitors use our Site.

If you communicate with Chang Learning by email, post messages to forums, make telephone or cell phone calls, communicate through electronic devices or other interactive devices, complete online forms, surveys or contest entries, or communicate with Chang Learning by any means, any information provided in such communication may be collected by Chang Learning. Chang Learning may also collect information about how customers use our Site, for example, by tracking the number of unique views received by the pages of the Site, or the domains from which customers originate, as further discussed under the Tracking Technologies section.

Information Sharing

It is our to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect through our Site, e-mail, phone, or any other communications we have with you. Information you share with us such as academic performance and any financial information is treated with our utmost respect. Chang Learning may share information with third party businesses who process payments on our behalf, who help us develop our business, who help us with marketing strategies, who provide cloud storage services, who provide communication software, and other third parties who provide other professional services. Chang Learning may also use information collected through the Site for research regarding the effectiveness of the Site and the business planning, marketing, advertising and sales efforts of Chang Learning.

Information related to the student’s academic performance and other academic related student records will be shared with Chang Learning’s academic team such as tutors, teachers, and education experts who are involved in creating the teaching curriculum. We may share a student’s information with staff who may provide or will be providing academic services to the student so that such staff can evaluate the engagement and personalize the academic services to the student. Our teaching and curriculum staff may use personally identifiable information collected through the Site for the specific purposes for which the information was collected, to contact Users regarding Chang Learning’s live-learning platform, to communicate with Users regarding products and services offered through Chang Learning and otherwise to enhance Users’ experience with Chang Learning. Users can refuse to provide personally-identifying information, but understand and acknowledge that this may prevent them from participating in certain Site-related activities.

Service Providers, and Third Parties

Our third party vendors and subcontractors may access your information to provide services for us including, but not limited to, payment processing, hosting and serving content and general website operations, sending marketing communications, and conducting research and analysis. Chang Learning may disclose personally identifiable information collected from Users to its independent contractors and business partners who will use the information for the purposes outlined above, as necessary to provide the services offered by or through Chang Learning. These companies are not permitted to use your personally identifiable information in any other way.

Tracking Technologies

Chang Learning and our analytics and marketing providers use technologies such as cookies, beacons, tags and scripts, to analyze trends, administer the Site, track Users’ movements around the Site and to gather demographic information about our User base as a whole. We may receive reports based on the use of these technologies by these providers on an individual and aggregated basis.

We gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. Chang Learning may disclose personally identifiable information at the request of law enforcement or governmental agencies or in response to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal process, to establish, protect, or exercise Chang Learning’s legal or other rights or to defend against a legal claim or as otherwise required or allowed by law. Chang Learning may disclose personally identifiable information in order to protect the rights, property, or safety of a User or any other person. Chang Learning may disclose personally identifiable information to investigate or prevent a violation by the User of any contractual or other relationship with Chang Learning or the perpetration of any illegal or harmful activity.

Correcting Information or Opting Out

We will retain your account and the information that is collected for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you academic services. To the extent applicable, if a User’s personally identifiable information changes or if a User no longer desires to receive non-account specific information from Chang Learning, it is the User’s responsibility to email the request to in order for us to correct, update, delete, and/or remove that User’s previously-provided personal data. We will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe or otherwise in accordance with applicable law.

Our site may contain links to other sites that may or may not be operated or controlled by Chang Learning. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these or any other sites. You access these sites entirely at your own risk.

Children’s Privacy

Our Site is not intended to be used by any individual under 17 years old without permission or supervision of a legal parent/guardian. Our site will not collect and retain any personal information from children except personal information provided by a legal parent or guardian. This information will be used only to facilitate tutoring services for that student, who may be a minor.

Changes to this Statement

Chang Learning reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by sending a notice to the primary email address specified in your account, by placing a prominent notice on our site and/or by updating any privacy information on this page. Your continued use of the Site and/or services available through this Site after such modifications will constitute (a) your acknowledgement of the modified Privacy Policy and (b) agreement to abide and be bound by such modified Privacy Policy.
